The British rock band had been split since 2009, with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher said to have permanently fallen out.

English rock’s arch-sworn brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are ending a 15-year feud to reunite Oasis with the announcement Tuesday that the legendary Britpop band will tour the world in 2025. Fans had given up on it after years of rumors and media attacks. But the return of the band that marked the 1990s was made official with a video on social media titled: “It’s happening!”

The tour will kick off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, and will include four dates in their hometown of Manchester and four at Wembley Stadium in London. After the UK, Oasis will perform in Dublin, Ireland, and “Preparations are underway to take ‘Oasis Live ’25’ to other continents later next year”the band’s official website states. Tickets for the confirmed dates will go on sale Saturday, August 31 at 9am local time (8am GMT) in the UK and 8am local time (7am GMT) in Ireland.

The tour announcement comes 30 years after the album’s release Definitely Maybe (released on 29 August 1994) which launched Oasis. New versions of tracks from the album, taken from the very first studio recordings, are due out on Friday to mark the anniversary. Following the runaway success of Definitely MaybeOasis had reached the peak of their popularity with (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? released in 1995, which includes his hits like Wonder wall or Don’t look back in Anger.

Supersonic Aversion

After years of bickering, yet another altercation in the summer of 2009 between Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel, guitarist and composer of Oasis, at the Parisian Rock en Seine festival, led to the separation of the group formed in 1991 in Manchester. Since then, the enemy brothers have long exchanged barbs via social networks or the press, before a relative lull in recent times, giving fans hope of a reconciliation.

In an interview last week, Noel complimented Liam, praising “his tone of voice and his attitude.” Speculation was reignited this weekend by a Sunday Times article that the brothers themselves shared on social media with ambiguous comments.

Then Liam Gallagher, 51, dedicated the title on Sunday evening Half the world away Oasis’ Noel, 57, at his gig at the Reading Festival in west London. Liam performed several hits from Definitely Maybe. At the end of the concert, the message posted on social media “27/08/24. 8am” was broadcast on the big screen, hinting at Tuesday morning’s announcement.
