In an interview with the Swiss newspaper Blick, former MP Eva Son-Forget announced her gender transition.
The former Macronist member of the French of Switzerland, elected with the name of Joachim Son-Forget, announced this week her gender transition and her change of first name, now Eva.
“This statutory change is very important for me,” said Eva Son-Forget in an interview published Monday by the Swiss newspaper Blick.
An early supporter of Emmanuel Macron, this Swiss resident, who now presents herself as a woman, was elected in 2017 in the 6th constituency of French people living abroad which includes Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

This radiologist, a brain specialist, has been at the heart of several controversies on social networks. She left the presidential party LREM in December 2018, following a controversy arising from sexist tweets, to join the UDI group as a related party and then the non-registered, before flirting with the far right.
“I would not speak openly if it were not crucial for me, but especially for others, weaker than me, who cannot live their lives as they would dream. It is a call for tolerance and to the freedom of choice of one’s gender identity”, she continues.
“But it is clear that in my former Zemmourist camp (…) and at the extremes, this news will make people cringe,” adds this personality, who then became a supporter of Eric Zemmour.
Her new first name, Eva, is “a reference to Eve, created from a rib of Adam. She immediately got into mischief,” she explains. Born on April 15, 1983 in Seoul, South Korea, a doctor by training, Eva Son-Forget was adopted by a French family from Haute-Marne, grew up in Langres, then studied in Dijon, Paris and Lausanne.
A practitioner of martial arts and sporting rifle shooting, she traveled to Ukraine with a humanitarian convoy shortly after the start of the Russian invasion in March 2022, being photographed in a tactical jacket and bulletproof vest.
