(Keystone-ATS) US President Joe Biden on Monday condemned the “outrageous” Russian strikes on energy infrastructure in Ukraine that left at least four people dead, and reiterated his support for kyiv.

“I condemn in the strongest terms Russia’s war against Ukraine and its actions aimed at plunging Ukraine into darkness,” the Democrat said in a statement. He recalled the United States’ “unwavering” support for Ukraine, as well as American military aid to kyiv.

“The United States is also sending equipment to Ukraine to repair its energy systems and strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s power grid,” Biden added.

White House Security Council spokesman John Kirby earlier Monday condemned in similar terms the “massive” Russian missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which left at least four dead and forced authorities to cut power supplies.
