Energy supplier Mega denies being for sale

LElectricity and gas supplier Mega “denies media rumours suggesting the company is up for sale.” CEO Thomas Coune acknowledges that “Mega is always interested in new investors” to finance its growth or new activities, but “at this stage, there is no concrete news on this subject,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.


“It is still possible that the company will welcome new shareholders in the future (…). But even if that were the case, it would not have a fundamental impact on the company. So there is absolutely nothing to announce, the rumors are unfounded,” concludes Thomas Coune.

According to Litter et The Timethe supplier is looking for new shareholders. A selection of interested parties has already been made. According to the business dailies, the two Liège managers of the company, Thomas Coune and Michael Corhay, did not wish to comment.
