The State of Geneva is continuing to develop its public transport services outside peak hours. Starting next Monday, Léman Express trains will run every quarter of an hour between Annemasse and Coppet in both directions, from Monday to Saturday until midnight and on Sunday until 10:00 p.m.
The launch of the Léman Express in December 2019 is a success, according to the State. The network records a ridership of some 70,000 passengers per day, which exceeds the scenarios developed before its launch.
The increase in the number of trains outside peak hours is attractive for workers with irregular schedules or for leisure travel.
This improvement in the frequency anticipates future changes to the 2025 CFF timetable by ensuring better connections with CFF RegioExpress trains at Coppet station.
