A large number of police officers and ambulances were deployed early this Tuesday at Chemin de la Prairie in Malley, in western Lausanne. Shots were indeed heard by residents of the neighborhood.

“I heard commotion and went out to my balcony. I saw people running. We heard shots. Some thought it was firecrackers, but it seemed like someone had fired,” says a reader. “I went down and heard a police officer say there was someone injured.” Ambulances were deployed, he said.

Another reader explains to us “that a man who had beaten a woman would have shot another man” and that he was still on the run. The police would try to arrest him.
