Bulk transportation company Trimac Transportation acquired Watt & Stewart, a specialty and flatbed carrier serving Canada and the United States since January 15.

The addition of Watt & Stewart expands Trimac’s service offerings, particularly in the mining, forestry and heavy equipment transportation sectors, according to a press release. With offices in Claresholm, Alberta and Lexington, South Carolina, Watt & Stewart is able to service mining and manufacturing centers throughout North America.

Founded by Neil Watt and John Stewart in 1987, Watt & Stewart has grown from a small operation to 124 tractors and 205 trailers over its decades of existence.
