Online training: MentorClass Academy reinvents learning in Africa

Created by two Moroccan entrepreneurs, MentorClass Academy offers online masterclasses produced with cinematic quality. Aimed at a Moroccan and African audience, this platform reinvents training by focusing on inspiring mentors and themes adapted to local realities.

Education is a vector of change, but it must be accessible to all. This is the bet made by Youssef El Yahcoubi Moulay and Mohammed Amine Chraibi, two Moroccan entrepreneurs at the origin of MentorClass Academy, a 100% Moroccan platform launched at the end of December 2024. By combining technology, inspiration and local expertise, their platform aspires to transform the way Moroccans and Africans
access knowledge.

A project born from a common vision Youssef El Yahcoubi Moulay,
co-founder of MentorClass Academy, has an atypical career path which led him to work for large international companies before returning to Morocco.

“I chose to stop everything to contribute to the economic development of my country and launch my own project,” he explains.

With his partner Mohammed Amine Chraibi, a long-time friend, he decided to create a revolutionary masterclass platform. MentorClass Academy stands out for its immersive approach and visual quality.

“We wanted to create a cinematic quality platform, in the spirit of Netflix, but dedicated to masterclasses,” explains Youssef El Yahcoubi Moulay.

This initiative directly addresses the needs of Moroccan and African audiences, who often face unique challenges.

Varied and inspiring themes
MentorClass Academy content covers topics as diverse as leadership, negotiation, and well-being. “Unlike purely technical training, we focus on personal and professional development,” emphasizes the co-founder.

Among the mentors, we find inspiring personalities like Nacer Ben Abdeljalil or Bouchra Baibanou, who bring unique perspectives through their careers in varied fields such as mountaineering or business. Each content is carefully prepared, with the support of an editorial manager to guarantee optimal quality.

“We want to offer immersive training that meets the expectations of our users,” adds Youssef El Yahcoubi Moulay.

Adapted and affordable offers
MentorClass Academy offers a range of packages designed to meet user expectations. The Starter formula, available at 45 dirhams instead of 89, gives access to a MentorClass for a period of three months.

The Elite offer, priced at 129 dirhams instead of 257, allows you to follow three MentorClasses over a period of six months. Finally, the Gold plan, offered at 428 dirhams instead of 856, offers annual access to ten MentorClasses.

These subscriptions give the possibility of viewing content on different media such as a computer, television or smartphone, all in 4K quality with Dolby sound. Additionally, PDF summaries of the masterclasses will soon be included in these offers, further enriching the user experience.

An ambition for the future
The future of e-learning in Africa is bright. “The online training market is expected to double in Africa within two years, driven by the rise of digital technology and increasing access to the Internet,” explains Youssef El Yahcoubi Moulay. For MentorClass Academy, the objective is to become a key player in the transmission of knowledge on the continent.

With dozens of masterclasses already available and expansion projects, this platform is a concrete response to the needs of young people hungry for knowledge and inspiration. “We believe in the potential of Africa and we want to give it the tools to succeed,” concludes the co-founder.
