A recent leak concerning One UI 7, Samsung’s future user interface, reinforces the rumors around the mysterious Galaxy S25 Slim, a new model which could enrich the S25 range later in 2025.
As Samsung prepares to unveil its Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked event on January 22, attention is now shifting to a “Slim” version whose launch is planned for May 2025. This information comes from a discovery in a test version of One UI 7, spotted by user X @Tarunvats33.
The test firmware reveals the existence of a device with model number SM-S937B, identified as the international version of the Galaxy S25 Slim. This model number would therefore be placed between those of the S25 Plus and S25 Ultrasuggesting an intermediate position in the range.
The Galaxy S25 Slim no longer has many secrets
The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is here
Xiaomi’s future bestseller has just arrived. This new reference combining impressive features and attractive prices is already on sale at Boulanger.
-The alleged technical characteristics of the S25 Slim look promising, despite its refined design. The device should feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, similar to other models in the series. Its main particularity lies in its ultra-thin design, with an announced thickness of 6.4 mmsignificantly lower than that of its brothers. We have already been able to see what the smartphone would look like thanks to OnLeaks a few days ago.
Despite this finesse, Samsung has managed to integrate a high-end photo system, including a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 3.5x telephoto lens. The device would share several aesthetic similarities with the S25 Plus, while being distinguished by its refined profile.
Ongoing testing of One UI 7 on this model suggests that development is following its normal course. Versions for the European and Indian markets have been identified in the firmware, although no trace of the US version has yet been detected.
Samsung could take advantage of January Unpacked to tease this new model, even if its official presentation is not expected until several months later. This strategy would allow the Korean manufacturer to maintain interest in its S25 range throughout 2025. We imagine that it will still be supplemented by an “FE” model at the end of the year, but the latter will not hasn’t leaked yet.
