After more than 15 months of bloody conflict, a ceasefire agreement in Gaza was reached last night (January 15, 2025) between Israel and Hamas. All led by triple mediation: Qatar, Egypt, United States. A decision which has a particular resonance on the American side, a few days before Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Is this success to be credited to the outgoing Joe Biden or Donald Trump? Will it allow the future American administration to achieve appeasement in the Middle East?
