Having a completely healthy team for more than 3-4 games in a row seems like an almost impossible challenge in the NHL. There is almost always at least one player nursing an injury or virus.

The Canadian is relatively lucky this season. Aside from the injury Patrik Laine at the start of the season, no player missed a long period of play.

Laine has been back in action since Saturday, having missed 4 games due to the flu and now it’s the turn ofAlex Newhook to be weakened by the same virus.

He is missing today’s practice and should logically miss Tuesday’s game against Utah HC

Newhook is having a difficult season with only 9 points in 42 games. He is capable of offering more to the team as evidenced by his 34 points in 55 games last season.

It will be interesting to see if Martin St-Louis will decide to recall a Rocket player if Newhook has to miss a few games or if he will turn to Pezzetta again.
