A Gendarmerie Operation Dismantles a Network of Livestock Thieves

The Kaffrine Gendarmerie Brigade has achieved a significant breakthrough in the fight against livestock theft in Ndoucoumane. Under the interim of Commander Diouf, deputy head of the brigade, three individuals were arrested and a large consignment of livestock was recovered. This operation, welcomed by breeders and the Peasant Movement AAr Souniou Momelmarks a turning point in the fight against this rural scourge.
The brigade’s yard, now cluttered with seized livestock, bears witness to the scale of the success. The criminals arrested were part of a network active for years in the Kaffrine department, sowing desolation among breeders. The police confiscated their loot, including horses, carts, cows, goats and sheep.
Bassirou Ba, coordinator of the Peasant Movement AAr Souniou Momelcongratulated the efficiency of Commander Diouf and his team, while calling on brigades in other regions to intensify their efforts to eradicate this problem.
This progress is seen as a decisive step to protect the rural world and give hope to breeders facing recurring losses due to these criminal acts.
