The final of Zone 13 of the ODCAV of Saint-Louis, organized yesterday in the town of Gandiol, was crowned with success. The event which saw ASC Tassinère win on penalties against Deukeundo, was distinguished by its festive and fraternal atmosphere, in accordance with the wishes of sponsor Babacar DIOP who spared no effort for its success.
In his speech, Mr. DIOP, director of the Regional University Works Center of Saint-Louis (Crous) expressed his satisfaction with the exemplary sportsmanship demonstrated by the two finalist teams. He used this platform to address the problem of illegal emigration which particularly affects the Saint-Louis department, urging young people to prioritize training and the development of local resources.
“The change that we so desired is now a reality with the arrival at the helm of President Bassirou Diomaye FAYE and Prime Minister Ousmane SONKO, young patriotic and pan-Africanist leaders,” he added.
He called on young people to be patient, promising that the new political orientations will soon create economic conditions that will deter emigration for economic reasons.
