This Monday, C.Dalin is prances in the lead a stone's throw from the southern coasts of . He sees the wind weakening on the edge of an anticyclonic ridge with an east to south-east flow which forces him to tack and lengthen the road which takes him to Les Sables d'Olonne. The end of the race is not so easy to negotiate…Yoann Richomme is still benefiting from a south-southeast wind of around fifteen knots offshore on the Iroise Sea. If the gap with the leader narrows a little, he should also slow down his race by getting closer to the tip of Penmar'ch. Sébastien Simon, who is sailing in the vicinity of Madeira, finds himself stuck by a ridge which blocks his way leading towards the Bay of Biscay. It continues its rise towards the north along the western edge of the ridge with regular gybes to be carried out.

Sam Goodchild has just crossed the Doldrums zone and is gradually finding more favorable wind conditions with a northeast trade wind strengthening to reach 15 to 18 knots. He therefore begins sailing upwind with a long tack, following a heading north.Tuesday January 14

C.Dalin is expected in Les Sables d'Olonne early this Tuesday morning, after completing a final leg in an easterly wind of around ten knots, during the night from Monday to Tuesday. He will have completed this sailing trip around the world in less than 65 days, beating the old record held by Armel Le Cléac'h in 2017 by more than 9 days. His competitor Yoann Richomme should cross the finish line a few hours later, in the evening of this Tuesday. During the day, she will have completed a port tack crossing of the northern part of the Bay of Biscay, in an east-northeast wind of around ten knots. Sébastien Simon will sail ahead of a cold front of an Atlantic disturbance, in a strong south-southeast flow of around twenty knots. It will progress rapidly on starboard tack with a heading north-north-east.

Sébastien Simon will curve his trajectory towards the north of the Bay of Biscay, under a south-southeast wind which will lose some of its strength. As he will have a better windward angle by moving away from the wind axis, he will continue sailing on starboard tack at good speed.

Sam Goodchild will continue to progress in the northeast trade wind which will lose some strength as it moves north. It will have to refine its trajectory to find downwind winds ahead of the North Atlantic depressions as quickly as possible.
