After a first recall campaign at the end of December, other references are potentially contaminated. These foods can be dangerous for your animals.
If you own pets, be careful. Rappel conso, the public consumer information site on product recalls, has launched new alerts concerning food for dogs and cats marketed throughout France, at distributors Netto and Intermarché, Bricomarchés. And this less than a fortnight after a massive recall of kibble from the Canaillou, Top Budget and Orlando brands.
This time again, the potential presence of salmonella in the incriminated products is at issue. These bacteria are dangerous for animals but also for humans, causing gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) and the appearance of fever and headaches.
What products are recalled?
The Netto brand is affected by these recalls for several references of its own brand:
- 15kg bags of beef and poultry dog food for large dogs, sold from 11/13/2024 to 12/26/2024.
- 3 kg bags of dog food mix of poultry, cereals and vegetables for senior dogs sold from 11/15/2024 to 12/26/2024.
- Salmon and vegetable cat food, in 400 grams, 2 kilos and 4 kilos formats, sold from 07/11/2024 to 26/12/2024.
The presence of salmonella was also detected in products from the Canaillou brand, already affected by the recalls at the end of December. They were sold by the distributor Intermarché.
- 400 gram cardboard boxes of kibble for Junior kittens 2-12 months Chicken/milk/carrots, sold from 11/15/2024 to 12/24/2024.
- 2.7kg bags of grain-free cat food, recipe rich in poultry, vegetables and fruit, sold from 11/13/2024 to 12/24/2024.
- 2.7kg bags of grain-free cat kibble recipe with salmon, vegetables and fruits sold from 11/13/2024 to 12/24/2024.
The 15kg bags of beef dog food from the ELWIN brand, sold since 11/18/2024 and distributed by Espace Emeraude, are also affected by the recall.
Likewise:
- 20kg bags of beef dog food from the Crockies brand, sold since 12/11/2024 and distributed by Bricomarché.
- 15kg bags of Performance adult dog food, from the Mac Brothers brand, sold since 07/11/2024.
If you have purchased one of these products, do not feed it to your pet, return it to the point of purchase or destroy it.
