During its last board meeting, Marchica Med approved a medium-term action plan highlighting increased involvement of the private sector. This collaboration aims to boost the development of City of Atalayoun and strengthen its positioning as tourist destination reference.
This strategic opening meets a dual objective: to mobilize private investments to accelerate the construction of the necessary infrastructure and guarantee optimized management of natural resources, while respecting the principles of sustainability and environmental preservation.

The Marchica lagoon development project reflects the Royal desire to promote the natural and cultural riches of the Oriental region. Extended over 19,000 hectares, including 7,700 hectares of land and 11,300 hectares of water, the Marchica lagoon represents a unique ecosystem.
The City of Atalayoun, with its 154 hectares, fits perfectly into this natural setting. This tourist complex integrates residential and hotel infrastructure, a golf course and a marina, combining modernity and harmony with the environment.
-Thematic cities to structure the territory
The development program also provides for the creation of seven thematic cities. These spaces, designed to accommodate new economic and urban activities, will strengthen the attractiveness of the region while respecting strict standards of sustainability and social inclusion.
This new strategic direction for Marchica Med illustrates a strong desire to combine economic development and environmental preservation. By integrating the private sector, the company aspires to position the City of Atalayoun as a model of sustainable and innovative tourist destination, for the benefit of local populations, Moroccans of the World and international visitors.
