In the absence of the leader and his runner-up, the direct pursuers had the mission of grabbing as many points as possible to get closer to second position in the general classification, on the occasion of the 17th day of the Bottle Pro You D1. After the Fath of Rabatwho took over the red lantern (the Chabab of Mohammedia) Friday, it was the turn of the Renaissance of Zemamra a you Maghreb of Fez to get closer to the leader on Sunday. A real sensation of the season after its seven victories during the first leg, the RCAZ started the return leg with a bang, stringing together two successive victories.

Amine Benhachem’s players managed to master the Difaâ d’El Jadida on his land, Sunday, taking care to fold the match after an hour of play. After containing the ardor of Zakaria Aboub’s attackers at the start of the first period, Soulaïmane Bouchkali’s teammates started the hostilities in the 43rd minute, on a goal from Amine Azri. Just before going to the locker room, the RCAZ doubled the lead through Walid Sebbar, who sent a direct free kick from 20 meters into the DHJ cage, after a rebound which deceived the opposing goalkeeper. After half-time, the former Raja and Olympic player from Safi returned to center stage, managing to score with a second direct free kick, from 30 meters this time. This third goal had the effect of a cold shower on Difaâ, who gave up and finally lost with a score of 3-0.
Thanks to this success, the Renaissance of Zemamra doubled AS FAR and moved into second position in the general table. The RCAZ has not conceded any defeat in the last eight days (five wins and three draws). Opposite, the DHJ suffered its second consecutive defeat on Sunday, after the 2-0 setback against Jeunesse de Soualem. Difaâ has therefore conceded five goals in its last two appearances against 0 goals scored, a record which puts a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Zakaria Aboub.

MAS released after departure from Guglielmo Arena

The other contender for a place on the podium entered on Sunday, the Maghreb of Fezmade short work of theUnion de Touarga (3-0), who could only observe the damage at home. The locals managed to resist for 45 minutes, before collapsing in the second half. From the 50th minute, Youssef Anouar completed a beautiful attack by hooking the last two defenders before nailing the UTS goalkeeper. Two minutes later, the Touarga midfielder lost an easy ball which allowed Hamid Ahaddad to double the lead (53rd). The former RCA and DHJ striker returned in the 66th minute to serve the Botswanan Kabelo Seakanyeng, who sealed the score (3-0).

This card is the second in a row for the MAS, after the severe 4-1 inflicted on Wydad last week. The departure of Swiss coach Arena Guglielmo proved to be a good omen for the representatives of Fez, who are now in fifth position, just two points from the podium. The Union de Touarga is getting dangerously close to the relegation zone. UTS recorded its fourth successive defeat on Sunday, which places it in 13th position, nine points behind the first relegation, the Moghreb of Tetouan.
