The governor of the Saint-Louis region, Al Hassan Sall, expressed his satisfaction with the strong mobilization noted yesterday Saturday during the eighth edition of the national clean-up day, organized last Saturday under the aegis of the Defense and Security Forces. security.

The official ceremony took place in the commune of Fass Ngom, a symbolic choice for this citizen initiative initiated by the President of the Republic Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

“I would first like to express a feeling of satisfaction with the commitment of the mobilized actors, led by the Defense and Security Forces, in particular the commander of military zone No. 2 and the Gendarmerie Legion. Their presence alongside civilians demonstrates our collective desire to make our environment clean and our living environment pleasant,” Mr. Sall declared during the launch ceremony.

The governor also highlighted that Fass Ngom will host an annual ziarra on Sunday, January 12, adding a religious dimension to this community event. “This cleaning day aims to strengthen citizen awareness around cleanliness and public hygiene,” said the Governor.

Mr. Sall praised the leadership and initiative of the Army, which has prepared for this day for a week, as well as all the local actors who have shown their support for this noble cause.
