According to the statement, the airstrikes targeted targets of the armed militants, including launch sites that were allegedly used to fire three rockets toward Israel on Friday.
The strikes reportedly killed “dozens” of Hamas fighters, according to the Israeli army and the Israeli intelligence service Shin Bet.
The Hamas-run Gaza media office reported Saturday evening that at least 184 people had been killed during 92 Israeli airstrikes and bombardments over the weekend.■
