This Friday, January 3, police officers were attacked while carrying out an arrest on the sidelines of the filming of an unauthorized music video in Villejuif, in Val-de-Marne, CNEWS learned from a police source. A man was taken into custody.
The atmosphere was tense on Friday January 3 in Villejuif. In this town of Val-de-Marne (94), police officers were attacked by around fifty individuals while they were carrying out an arrest.
Indeed, the story began when young people decided to shoot an unauthorized music video in rue Jean Mermoz. Thus, several motocross bikes were deployed. After refusing to comply, one of the drivers abandoned his scooter then took refuge in the lobby of a building, CNEWS learned from a police source, confirming information from Le Parisien.
Very quickly, the police managed to arrest him. The situation subsequently escalated and the police were attacked by around fifty hostile individuals, according to our information.
Reinforcements were called. The first patrol was targeted by projectiles. To free themselves, the police had to use defensive bullet launchers and tear gas grenades.
Eventually the situation calmed down. According to our colleagues, the police still managed to arrest the individual, and the latter was placed in police custody at the Kremlin-Bicêtre police station.
