From Migros to Nestlé via PrimeEnergy Cleantech or Vetropack, Le Temps looks back for two weeks on the Swiss companies that marked 2024, companies whose difficulties and challenges reflect current economic issues.

What have we learned from Logitech in 2024? A new mouse, an innovative racing wheel for gamers, an exceptional speaker? No, none of that. In 2024, all the incremental progressions of its products will have been eclipsed by a duel: Daniel Borel against Wendy Becker. The co-founder against the president, this is what will have marked the history of the multinational in recent months, to the point that we almost forget the arrival of a new director, Hanneke Faber, since December 1, 2023.

For Logitech, everything changed on September 13, 2023. That day, in the middle of an ordinary general meeting which promised to be quiet, Daniel Borel took the floor to ask that Wendy Becker not be re-elected as president of the board of administration. “She doesn’t know the realities of our job. She seems to be in denial of reality. And it does not embody Logitech’s historic values,” says the co-founder of the multinational. That day, Wendy Becker was re-elected as president with 96.56% of the vote, and as a board member with 96.63%.
