A few months ago, the Gaudreau family experienced the worst of blows.
A few hours before the wedding of one of the family’s sisters, Johnny and Matthew were killed by a drunk driver. This obviously put a pause on the marriage in question.
This caused a huge reaction throughout the NHL due to the fact that Johnny was a star.
What made the situation even sadder was the fact that Johnny had two children. But what’s more, Johnny’s wife and Matthew’s wife were both pregnant.
Matthew and his wife had announced that they were expecting a child before his death, but not Johnny and his wife, who told everyone at the funeral of the two brothers.
But now at the end of 2024, Madeline Gaudreau, who is Matthew’s wife, announced on social networks that she had given birth to the couple’s first child.
Tripp Gaudreau is the child’s name, as previously reported.
Obviously he will never meet his father, which is very sad. But clearly, we can think that he will hear about it at length from his entire family.
Young Tripp surely goes to see his grandparents often to compensate. I imagine, at least.
As for Meredith Gaudreau, Johnny’s widow, she is due to give birth in 2025. We don’t know the exact date, but I imagine that in due time, we will find out.
And that too will undoubtedly provoke a reaction.
