(Halifax) An aircraft incident at Halifax Stanfield International Airport caused temporary delays to all flight operations Saturday evening.

Airport spokesperson Tiffany Chase said that at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday, an Air Canada Express flight operated by Pal Airlines from St. John’s, Newfoundland, experienced a landing incident. .

Air Canada spokesman Peter Fitzpatrick said the plane suffered a “suspected landing gear problem” after arriving Saturday evening and the plane was unable to reach the terminal, forcing the crew and 73 passengers to disembark by bus.

Fitzpatrick noted no one on board was injured, but a Nova Scotia RCMP spokesperson, who responded to the scene alongside paramedics, said minor injuries were reported.

Mme Chase said flight operations were suspended after the incident and one of the airport’s runways has since resumed normal operations.

The cause of the incident is unknown and an investigation is underway.
