The association Act for Animals, based in Castelginest (31), is fighting to save three mistreated dogs in Plaisance-du-Touch, calling into question “judicial inaction”.
The Agir pour les animals association, based in Castelginest, east of Toulouse, does everything possible for the well-being of animals. For several days, members of the establishment have been fighting for animals in situations of mistreatment.
“The hours are numbered for these emaciated animals, left in the cold in Plaisance-du-Touch,” protests Betty Loizeau, the manager of the local municipal shelter, in the face of what she considers to be “yet another injustice on the part of authorities while the photos (that she) sent speak for themselves…”
Alerted a few days ago by the Muret association Amis et Lovers of Animals about the case of three cachectic dogs, the Agir pour les vins association has since been fighting for the dogs to be taken away from their owners for mistreatment.
An action was then launched alongside the Toulouse association Les 4 Pattounes. But to the great dismay of Betty Loizeau, although numerous reports were sent to the gendarmerie, accompanied by photographic evidence and damning testimonies, the seizure was refused by the magistrate in charge of mistreatment at the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office for lack of evidence.

“These dogs are thin and left to their own devices in the winter cold,” continues Betty Loizeau. “Their lives are in danger… and nothing is changing. We will not abandon them, because their fate is in imminent danger. Enough of cases disdained by magistrates who have the lives of the most fragile in their hands! We will mobilize and act !” she still continues to proclaim.
The story of the three canines was relayed on the association’s social networks, in the hope that a massive outpouring of solidarity could encourage the authorities to review their decision. “The survival of these animals depends on it…”
