OpenAI offers “big and small” surprises for 12 days, a creative initiative to delight ChatGPT users during this festive period.
Launched in November 2022, this generative artificial intelligence celebrates its second anniversary with the announcement of several new features and improvements. Every weekday, since Thursday, December 5, OpenAI developers have revealed the gift of the day live on the official OpenAI website.
This Advent calendar, “12 Days with Open AI”, began with the official launch of ChatGPT Pro. First of 12 gifts: the Pro version is available at 229 euros per month in France, a price ten times higher than the ChatGPT Plus subscription. It provides scalable access to OpenAI's best models and tools, including Sora, a video generator. The Pro version allows you to create 500 videos in full HD (1080p) of a maximum duration of 20 seconds, compared to 50 videos of 5 seconds in HD (720p) for the Plus subscription.
A handy feature is now free
ChatGPT Search. Highly anticipated, this feature is now accessible to all users (Free, Plus, Pro, Teams and Enterprise). She integrates web search into the generative tool, providing up-to-date and accurate answers in real time. By clicking “Search” below a post, the response is provided with links to multiple sources, allowing you to directly check the content online.

ChatGPT Projects. For those who struggle to quickly find a conversation, the “Projects” functionality allows you to organize and personalize your exchanges. For example, create a project called “Christmas Gifts” and group all relevant conversations into it. Projects allow you to centralize chats, files and personalized instructions, making it easier to access work in progress and organize tasks.
“Projects” is available for Plus, Pro and Teams users since Friday December 13. OpenAI plans to expand it to free users soon.
3 new ChatGPT features on macOS
macOS users can now take advantage of a dedicated desktop application to optimize and automate their work with ChatGPT. Although more releases are planned for 2025, OpenAI has already introduced three features.
1. Integration with Coding Apps : Through the “Work with apps” button, users can collaborate with various coding apps such as BBEdit, MatLab, Nova, Script Editor, TextMate, Android Studio, AppCode, CLion, DataGrip, GoLand, IntelliJ IDEA, PHPStorm, PyCharm , RubyMine, RustRover, WebStorm, Prompt and Warp.
2. Compatibility with writing applications : The desktop app now supports tools like Apple Notes, Quip, and Notion. This allows ChatGPT to interact directly with these applications. You will no longer need to copy and paste text into the ChatGPT conversation.
3. Advanced voice mode : The desktop app for macOS now offers an advanced voice mode, making it easier to interact with other apps by voice.
These features are available in the latest version of the macOS app for Plus, Pro, Team, Enterprise and Edu subscribers. When it comes to privacy, OpenAI ensures that ChatGPT does not interact with applications only upon manual invitation from the user. When the feature is active, users know what will be attached to the message.
