Thursday evening and overnight, sometimes wintry showers will reach us from the North Sea, interspersed with sunny spells. In Haute Ardenne, some snowfall will be possible. In the west and southwest of the territory, the weather will be drier. Low clouds will form in the far east. The minimums will oscillate between -1 degree in the south-east and 5 or 6 degrees by the sea.
Friday morning, there will be gray weather in the Ardennes, while elsewhere the sun will shine. Over the hours, the cloudiness will become more variable across all regions, but the weather should remain dry during the day. The maximums will be between 1 degree in Hautes-Fagnes and 8 degrees at sea.
Snow is forecast in Belgium: what should we expect?
On Friday evening, a disturbance will cross the country from west to east. The weather will be very cloudy with precipitation taking on a wintry character in the Ardennes. During the night, precipitation will be confined to the south-east of Wallonia, while it will be drier with many low clouds elsewhere. The minimums will vary between 1 and 7 degrees.
On Saturday, the disturbance will leave the country to the east. Temporary clearings will appear, before a further increase in cloudiness followed by light rain in the afternoon. The minimums will reach 3 degrees in Hautes-Fagnes, 7 or 8 degrees in the center of the country and 9 degrees at the sea.
A white Christmas cannot be ruled out this year: “We are expecting further descents of polar air at the end of the month”
