A Swiss team will play in the Champions League final on February 18. This honor will go to the winner of the semi-final between Genève-Servette and the Zurich Lions.

Holder of the trophy, Genève-Servette did not really tremble to ensure its qualification for Bremerhaven. Victorious 4-0 for the Germans in the first leg at Les Vernets, the Genevans obtained a 2-2 draw in the return thanks to two successes scored in the empty cage by Alessio Bertaggia and Sakari Manninen.

After two first thirds without a goal, Bremerhaven, in fact, took all the risks to maintain the dream of an improbable comeback. But with Antti Raanta once again brilliant with his 37 saves, the Garnet had in their ranks a goalkeeper who admirably knew how to close the door to the opponent.

Zurich in difficulty

Everything was, however, much more complicated for Zurich against Berlin. As in the first leg, won 4-3, the Swiss Champions fell 3-0 before reversing the situation. This time they won 5-4 thanks to the successes of Juho Lammikko, Sven Andrighetto and Derek Grant in a breathtaking final third.

The first act of this semi-final between the last two Swiss champions will take place on January 14 or 15 in Geneva, the return match a week later in Zurich. The winner of this confrontation will face Sparta Prague or Färjestad in the final.
