The woman found lifeless in an apartment in Charlesbourg on Monday has already been arrested as part of the dismantling of a major drug network, in Quebec, in 2021. A man arrested as part of this same operation has also pleaded guilty to manslaughter, a few hours after the macabre discovery.
Jennifer Morin, 45, was found lifeless Monday in her home in Charlesbourg. The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) has reason to believe that she was the victim of a homicide.
As of this writing, no one has been arrested in this case.
Monday morning around 9 a.m., paramedics and police officers were called to intervene in a home on Boulevard Louis-XIV. The woman’s body was reportedly discovered at the scene and the coroner ordered an inquest to be held.

The SPVQ is seeking to collect information in this matter. A mobile command post was moved to the intersection of Astrid and Édith streets, in Charlesbourg.

The SPVQ does not specify how Jennifer Morin was killed. Investigators as well as technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit went to the scene to shed light on this death.

Links with Cédric Duchaine
The victim was arrested on December 15, 2021 with eight other people, including Cédric Duchaine.
The 28-year-old man, who headed his network of drug dealers, admitted on Tuesday his participation in the murder of Michel Petit committed at the Sainte-Foy pyramid in October 2021. Duchaine pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter. He had been detained since his arrest.
According to our information, Jennifer Morin’s son, Jeffrey Morin, was also arrested on December 15, 2021. He was convicted of drug trafficking and received a sentence of 1,200 days in prison.
Jennifer Morin was never found guilty.
