New BMW X3: its marketing has started in Morocco

The new generation of the BMW X3 has recently made its debut in Morocco. The opportunity for SMEIA, the brand’s importer, to unveil the machine to the national press, on the sidelines of the prestigious Marrakech International Film Festival. A premium SUV that returns to the forefront with many arguments, including a more refined design, a host of advanced technologies and good performance.

The BMW X3 continues to appeal to drivers around the world, including in Morocco. It must be said that since its launch in 2003, it has established itself as an essential reference in the SUV segment, or more precisely in that of SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle), as BMW likes to position it. With more than 1.9 million units produced since the introduction of its third generation in 2017, this iconic model continues to ride the wave of success.

Aesthetically, the fourth generation of the BMW X3 displays a more athletic silhouette compared to that of its predecessor, and above all well in line with the latest stylistic canons of the propeller firm. In detail, the new vertical grille and the L-shaped LED headlights reinforce this modernity, including adaptive Full LED headlight options. Note that standard equipment includes 18-inch rims (19-inch for the BMW X3 30e xDrive), with 20- and 21-inch options. The M Sport trim adds 19-inch M wheels and aerodynamic elements, while the M Sport Pro package adds contour lighting.

This fourth generation of the machine is 34 mm (4.76 m) longer and 29 mm (1.92 m) wider than its predecessor. On the other hand, the height is reduced by 25 mm (1.66 m). Enough to comfortably accommodate the driver and his passengers. As is to be expected, the interior plays the luxury card with high-quality materials and enhanced comfort equipment. Among the new features are the BMW Curved Display, the “BMW Interaction Bar”, flattened steering wheels and a redesigned center console. The sports seats in “Veganza leather” are electrically adjustable, with options in “BMW Individual Merino leather”. For the first time, the dashboard is covered in recycled polyester Econeer fabric. As for the Harman Kardon Surround Sound Hi-Fi audio system, with 15 speakers and 750 W, it flatters the eardrums given its excellent sound quality.

Note that the modular loading space offers 570 liters, which can reach 1,700 liters (1,600 liters for the BMW X3 30e xDrive), with an optional trailer hitch supporting up to 2,500 kg depending on the engine. In terms of safety equipment, the machine is stocked up. It offers numerous automated driving and parking assistance systems, such as “Driving Assistant” and “Parking Assistant” as standard. As an option, the “Driving Assistant Plus” and “Parking Assistant Professional” offer advanced features for greater comfort and safety.

Under the hood, there is a choice of electrified petrol and diesel engines, backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission and intelligent 4-wheel drive technology from BMW xDrive as standard. In detail, we list the 20d xDrive with 197 horsepower, the 30e xDrive, a hybrid unit delivering 299 horsepower which will be available in 2025, and the M50 xDrive, an M TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine delivering 398 horsepower, also available in 2025.

In addition to these characterful mechanics, there is a technical package that allows the X3 to benefit from increased agility, improved cornering stability and enhanced comfort. It should be noted that the reinforced chassis ensures better precision in turns and more direct steering. Not to mention that the standard suspension maintains the agility and comfort typical of BMWs, even on rough roads. Count on a price of 584,000 DH to leave behind the wheel of the BMW X3.
