The listeners of La Commission were treated to quite an audio show this Monday.

According to various sources, a conflict broke out between the two “commissioners” of the 98.5 FM midday show, Luc Ferrandez and Nathalie Normandeau.

Unable to agree on the content of Justin Trudeau’s visit to Mar-A-Lago, the former mayor of Plateau-Mont-Royal reportedly asked the former Liberal minister to stop minimizing how he feels towards the Prime Minister of Canada.

Stung, she would have retorted: “Do you want to host alone?”, to which Ferrandez would have reacted by throwing his headphones on his desk and slamming the studio door.

Stunned by the attitude of her long-time colleague, Normandeau declared, after a few seconds of very uncomfortable silence: “We’re going to the break.”

Ouch!!! Luc Ferrandez has just made a “rage quit” live on 98.5 FM! He and Nathalie Normandeau didn’t have quite the same analysis of PM Trudeau’s visit to Mar-a-Lago and Ferrandez quickly got angry.

For the moment, however, the audio extract of the muscular disagreement does not seem to be available on the Internet.

However, in the minutes that followed, Ferrandez returned to the studio and, unexpectedly, he had reconciled with his partner.

The two co-hosts also took a few moments to return to their disagreement, and that is available on the Internet.

“Despite their differences in opinions and styles, they say they share many values. They recognize that they are “two strong heads” which can create tensions, but also good shows. They commit to resolving their disagreements and reassure listeners that their professional relationship will survive despite occasional arguments,” we can read in the short text accompanying the audio extract.

Well well, all’s well that ends well.
