Wrestlers Siteu and Modou Lô, competing last Sunday, were hit by financial sanctions from the National Management Committee (CNG) of wrestling. As usual, the managers of the two athletes went to the CNG headquarters this Tuesday to collect the remainder of their protégés’ fees.
Siteu, represented by his manager Max Mbargane, saw a deduction of 2,730,000 FCFA from his fee. According to the latter, this penalty is mainly linked to the introduction of 10 liter bottles into the arena, as well as to an excess of accompanying persons in the area reserved for them. For his part, Modou Lô did not escape the sanction. The “King of the Arena” had to leave 2,030,000 FCFA in the CNG coffers. The reasons given include the introduction of bottles (for an amount of 1,250,000 FCFA) and penalties for an excessive number of accompanying persons, among other infractions.
In total, the two wrestlers saw a sum of 4,760,000 FCFA retained by the CNG. This amount testifies to the maintenance of rigor in the application of the regulations, despite the recent renewal of the management of the governing body of the fight.
