Marc Uyttendaele, a criminal lawyer, constitutionalist and professor at ULB, is the target of a complaint for “violation of sexual integrity”, according to Le Vif. The facts date back to 2022, the main person concerned formally contests these accusations.
Lawyer Marc Uyttendaele is accused of sexual assault by a former colleague. The events allegedly took place on 6 April 2022, in the offices of the law firm Uyttendaele, Gerard, Kennes et Associés (UGKA).
The accused, Marc Uyttendaele, the complainant’s supervisor at the time, allegedly groped her during an informal interview.
This collaborator resigned hastily on April 8, two days after the alleged events. She then allegedly agreed with Marc Uyttendaele on a common version to tell so as not to arouse any suspicion. They then spoke of a misunderstanding regarding the conditions of remuneration. According to Le Vif, when he was contacted for the first time, the lawyer kept this version.
A complaint was filed on May 8. The complainant waited to bring the matter to court out of fear of reprisals. This is what she explains in the complaint. She also mentions a feeling of shame.
For his part, Marc Uyttendaele denies the facts. He has, at this stage, neither been heard nor summoned by the courts.My client is stunned and completely denies all these false accusations.
