The youngest world number 1 in history and already winner of three different Grand Slam tournaments at just 21 years old, all with an attractive playing style and near-perfect technique, Carlos Alcaraz logically arouses the admiration of his peers, observers and fans.

This is particularly the case of the former French player, Julien Varlet, who spoke about the Spanish prodigy in the show Sans Filet on Winamax TV.

“When you watch Alcaraz, you feel like you’re watching Brazil football, in the good years. At each point, at each game, there is a shot that is different, he has a smile. He brings something that is fabulous. People who said that tennis will be dead when Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are no longer around, but him, sincerely… the Alcaraz-Sinner opposition, it will offer us simply phenomenal matches. He brings something, he has a style of play… I even find that he touches something else than Federer, in talent, in his way of moving, in the finesse of his game. When you see him arrive on the volley, the drop shots he makes, he doesn’t just do them to drop them, he adds a little retro effect. Frankly, I am an absolute fan of Alcaraz.”
