Cairo – The work of the sixth edition of the Egyptian-Moroccan business forum began on Saturday in Cairo, under the theme “Towards an Arab-African partnership”, with the participation of economic actors from the two countries.

The forum, which was marked by the presence of the Moroccan ambassador to Cairo, permanent representative of the Kingdom to the League of Arab States, Mohamed Ait Ouali, as well as the deputy minister of Foreign Affairs and former ambassador to Egypt in Morocco, Ashraf Ibrahim, as well as representatives of the chambers of commerce, industry and services, the chambers of crafts in Morocco, in addition to real estate developers, investors and businessmen from the two countries, aims to open new perspectives to investors Moroccans and Egyptians to position themselves and strengthen their presence in Africa.

The forum also constitutes an opportunity for dialogue and openness on the areas of cooperation and attraction of investors, through the presentation of Morocco’s assets and its investment opportunities, as well as highlighting the role banking and financial institutions in the development and facilitation of trade and investment operations.

In a speech for the occasion, Mr. Ait Ouali underlined that Morocco has made over the last 25 years, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, a significant and qualitative leap in several areas, notably economic and development. human, specifying that the Kingdom now occupies an important place regionally, continentally and globally.

The diplomat, who highlighted the importance of complementarity between Morocco and Egypt in all areas, especially since the two countries represent essential gateways to Africa, noted that the two countries can serve as a model for inter-Arab relations, adding that these relations are experiencing concrete development under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi.

For her part, Samira Achiri, president of the Children of Morocco in Egypt Foundation for Development, organizer of this event, emphasized the strong desire to strengthen ties between Morocco and Egypt in all areas. , noting that the two countries enjoy close historical relations.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Omal Misr Complex”, Haitham Hussein, stressed that this meeting reflects a deep and strategic vision to build a common future between Egypt and Morocco, affirming that the two countries , as central states in the Arab world, can constitute a model of real integration in the economic, cultural and political fields.

He noted that Morocco, thanks to its geographical position as a gateway to Africa and Europe, and Egypt, thanks to its central position in the heart of the Arab world and as a gateway to entry into the Middle East, have all the assets to establish themselves as engines of regional and Arab development.

On the sidelines of this meeting, a cooperation protocol was signed between the “Omal Misr Complex” Union and the Union of Auto Entrepreneurs Morocco, mainly aimed at developing the skills of self-entrepreneurs through the organization of specialized training and support entrepreneurs in the development of action plans and feasibility studies for their projects.

The event program includes meetings on “Moroccan-Egyptian investment and economic opportunities”, “entrepreneurship, vision 2030 at the Arab and African level”, “towards a green economy and an energy transition for sustainable development ” and “women and entrepreneurship… transformation and empowerment”.

The meeting, which saw the screening of a video on the development process in Morocco, paid tribute to several economic actors from both countries.
