Pfizer Canada ULC is pleased to announce the appointment of An Van Gerven as President.
An started her career as an industrial pharmacist at the Pfizer manufacturing plant located in Puurs. During the first half of her career in the pharmaceutical industry, she held a variety of roles in regulatory affairs, communications, corporate affairs and patient drug access strategies.
After obtaining a master’s degree in business administration specializing in entrepreneurship, An held various management positions at Pfizer that aligned with his passion for strategy and innovation for the benefit of patients and their therapeutic journey. She has also acted as a mentor to various start-ups in the healthcare sector. An spent two years in France, where she led Pfizer’s Hospitals unit, then returned to her native Belgium to take on the role of national leader.
Happy to join the Canadian subsidiary, An will focus on the professional development of her colleagues and, above all, on innovation for patients. An also delights in promoting female leadership as well as diversity, teamwork and inclusion.
