(Keystone-ATS) While the mercury showed 17.5 degrees on Saturday morning in the Neuchâtel village nicknamed the Siberia of Switzerland, Météonews measured 12.2 degrees in the same place on Sunday at the mildest of the day. Under the effect of the foehn in particular, the mild weather caused temperatures to rise to 17.1 degrees in Geneva, 16.1 in Nyon (VD), 15.7 in Delémont or even 10.4 in Zurich-Kloten and 6 in Bern.
The day before, according to the private service Meteonews, the coldest temperatures were recorded in Buffalora/Ofenpass in the Engadine with -18.6 degrees, on the Corvatsch (GR) (-18.1) and on the Jungfraujoch with -16, 5 degrees. Even in places spared from frost, it was no more than 2.1 degrees in Le Bouveret (VS), on the shores of Lake Geneva. Sunday at Bouveret, it was up to 12.5 degrees.
