Irresistible in the sequences of Assen, Pecco Bagnaia carried out the very good operation of the weekend by winning both the sprint race and the Grand Prix. This maximum score, already obtained during the previous round in Italy, allows him to take a giant step forward in the championship. His delay in the general classification, which was 39 points after the Catalan GP, has in fact increased to only ten points in the space of two weekends.

Jorge Martín remains leader, a position he has held since Portugal, who continues to show his desire to secure as many points as possible when his opponent has the advantage, as was clearly the case this weekend on a track adored by the double reigning champion.

With now an overall score of 200 points, the Spaniard is 58 points ahead of third place, Marc Márquez. The latter lost big by being penalized after the race for not having respected the imposed tire pressure.

Still fourth in the championship, Enea Bastianini returns to six points behind the Gresini driver after his podium today, while Maverick Viñales takes the advantage over Pedro Acosta, for the first time scoreless this weekend. Brad Binder, seventh, is only two points behind the rookie while Fabio Di Giannantonio climbs a notch thanks to Aleix Espargaró’s withdrawal, following his fall on Saturday.

On the French side, Fabio Quartararo slips to 14th place, tied on points with Franco Morbidelli13th, and Johann Zarco remains in 19th position.

In the other two rankings, Ducati and its official team are dominating the debates this weekend with a lead that goes to 87 points over Pramac Racing in the teams’ standings, and to 122 points in the manufacturers’ standings. But there is something new: it is no longer KTM, but Aprilia that is now in second place.
