The town of Pikine, in the suburbs of Dakar, seems to be the breeding ground for sexual predators. After the scandal involving a traditional communicator, a new “rape” case shakes this locality. A marabout-repeater of religious songs and poems is at the origin of this new scandal.
According to the newspaper Les Echos which provides the information, the alleged sexual predator rented bicycles to boys around the 2020s before turning to religious songs.
He had escaped an initial complaint following serious accusations by a 10-year-old minor, the newspaper reports.
In his complaint letter, the boy recounted the horror he experienced.
According to him, the marabout had lured him into the room of his coffee seller friend to carry out the act. “He first got naked and did the same for me. Then, he lay down on the bed.” He then invited him to “lie on him and rub me against his body.” Panicked, the young boy “did it.”
Despite the seriousness of the facts, the matter was settled amicably, the newspaper informs.
It was on the eve of Tabaski, celebrated on June 17, that one of the marabout’s students spilled the beans to his mother. The child revealed to her that his teacher was a “homosexual.”
Fortunately, the father who heard everything, in turn informed the neighborhood delegate.
The latter questions the child who ends up confessing everything to him.
A complaint was filed after the boy’s accusations were confirmed by one of his classmates, who is none other than the son of the neighborhood delegate.
Taken to hospital after an investigation was opened, all the boys were consulted by a gynaecologist. The results of the medical certificate concluded that they had “anal tears”.
The accused was immediately arrested. Referred to the public prosecutor’s office on Friday, he is being prosecuted “for unnatural acts, incitement to debauchery, embezzlement of a minor, pedophilia and rape committed against minors.”
His wife was quick to ask for a divorce, reports Les Échos.
