Then, everyone returns to their previous lives while the general policy statement of the Prime Minister of the moment is put away in the drawers. We need to calm down. It was said that the previous legislature was the worst in the political history of Senegal. But we risk, with the new opponents made up of profiteers and disgruntled people, of having even worse. The presence in the hemicycle of the one whose name all these new opponents have on the lips seems to traumatize them even though he is not bound by any deadline and has never said that he would not do his DPG. MINISTRY OF ECONOMY: BAMBA DIOP LIMOGE PAR OULIMATA SARR, REHABILITATION PAR SON FRERE… ABDOURAHMANE SARR

During the Council of Ministers on Wednesday, June 26, among the individual measures we noted the appointment of Mouhamadou Bamba Diop, a brilliant statistical engineer, as SG of the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Cooperation, replacing a another brilliant economist, Allé Nar Diop, who migrated to the Palace to manage the Project. Only what is comical is that this same Mouhamadou Bamba Diop was dismissed by Oulimata Sarr on October 4, 2023 from his position as Director General of Planning and Economic Policies of the Ministry of the Economy. And had him replaced by his close friend, Souleymane Diallo. Which created great unease in the corridors of the ministry. Oulimata Sarr, presented at the time of her appointment as a big catch from President Macky Sall caught at UN-Women, will have spent just 9 months at the Ministry of the Economy where she will not have left a lasting memory. Mayacine Camara commented at the time on the dismissal of Mouhamadou Bamba Diop in these terms: “This dismissal will remain for a long time in the memory of planning agents. ONE SONKO CAN HIDE ANOTHER
Djibril Sonko, the new mayor of Ziguinchor, is not related to Ousmane Sonko, his predecessor at the head of the town hall of the southern capital. The two men have no blood ties, but only political ties since both are active in the same party, Pastef. Moreover, this Treasury inspector with nearly 15 years of service who served in Gossas immediately resigned solely to take care of his mandate as mayor of Ziguinchor. Until now Ousmane Sonko’s second deputy, Djibril Sonko warmly paid tribute to the man he considers his mentor since, if he joined Pastef as a founding member to be the departmental boss of Ziguinchor, it is thanks to Ousmane Sonko. Especially since the latter persuaded the other candidates to withdraw for his benefit for the town hall of Ziguinchor. Djibril, just after his appointment, did not fail to thank his mentor for his support. A Sonko who leaves, another Sonko who arrives. Ziguinchor truly loves Sonko. But also holds a mayor, a well-made head since he holds a DEA in international economics from FASEG of UCAD and teaches at UCAD and at the Assane Seck University of Ziguinchor.
THE PDS COMPLETES ITS VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL FEDERATIONS
The Senegalese Democratic Party continues to renew its bodies. The formation of President Abdoulaye Wade has just completed the installation of its vertical and horizontal federations. The Commission for the Sale and Renewal of Structures will shortly submit its final report to Brother National Secretary General. It will then be necessary to set up the steering committee and the national secretariat, prerogatives of the SGN. Then will follow the Congress, the date of which will be communicated “later”.
THIERNO ALASSANE SALL ON THE DGP OF SONKO
The General Policy Declaration frankly pollutes the political environment of our country. And the exit of Yewwi’s parliamentary group only added fuel to the fire. The new regime is, first of all, expected in scrupulous respect for the Constitution and the reconstruction of damaged institutions. This requires no funding or resources. Except those that we must have of our own: living up to history and guaranteeing democratic governance” underlines Thierno Alassane Sall.
OUSSEYNOU LY MINISTER ADVISOR: “OUTLAW ONE DAY, OUTLAW EVERY DAY!”
The Minister Advisor, spokesperson for the Presidency, Ousseynou Ly, came out of his reserve to shoot point-blank at those who, according to him, are falsifying the internal regulations of the National Assembly. “Faced with the relevant question of the “falsified” internal regulations of the National Assembly, they still cannot manage to maintain a substantive debate by giving a technical response based on the law. This is what we call consistency in positions. Those which have earned us the trust of the Senegalese since March 24. When the argument is concrete, we concrete the insults. SONKO is afraid! Oh yes ? How so ? Because there was an Ousmane Sonko alone against everyone at the AN from 2017 to 2022. And yet his relevant questions and lectures from the top of the perch gave cramps to an entire government and to a former President of the Republic, who ends up waking up from his lion’s sleep to attack him and his party with all the power of the State. “We know the rest of this story of fear which left dozens of dead, hundreds of injured and a blight on our democracy. Nothing is archived yet! (…) For once, stop being an outlaw by adapting the RI of the AN to the Constitution and in the hours that follow, Mr. Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko will appear before you to teach you again how the PROJECT matters develop this country” concludes Ousseynou Ly.
