A three-year-old Montreal girl will see her biggest dream come true on Saturday in Toronto, when she attends a concert by Taylor Swift, her idol whose music accompanied her during her fight against leukemia.
Now in remission, Chiara Langton learned two weeks ago that she had won tickets for the November 23 show at the Rogers Center, the last of Taylor Swift’s series of six concerts in the Queen City.
“She was overjoyed. She was jumping around and calling everyone around us to tell them,” says her mother, Christine Clogg, herself a self-confessed Swiftie.
If Chiara Langton will finally be able to sing her favorite songs, like Cruel Summer, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart et You’re On Your Own, Kidwith its heroine, it was thanks to a competition from the Rogers company, which asked participants to publish their most beautiful clothes inspired by the diva.
“We were unable to find tickets and we were entering every competition we could, so it was really our last hope of going to see one of the shows in Toronto.”

Valuable moral support
Chiara received her diagnosis just before she turned two. She never gave up. What helped the little girl keep her head held high despite countless operations and chemotherapy treatments? Songs from the Queen of Pop, Taylor Swift.
“We were listening to Taylor Swift and watching videos from the tour Eras together at the hospital while awaiting treatment. Then, when we came home, we would put on Taylor Swift and dance together. It did him a lot of good,” remembers M.me Clogg.

“Chiara has a wardrobe full of clothes identical to Taylor Swift’s. She also has her little purple guitar, her pink ukulele and her little piano. She spends her time trying to imitate him,” explains the mother affectionately.
Lots of bracelets
The “friendship bracelet” factory, the swifties’ favorite accessory for the world tour Erasis therefore operating at full capacity within the Langton-Clogg clan in anticipation of the concert on November 23.

“Chiara already had a lot of bracelets, but we are making even more so we can exchange or give them away,” says Mme Clogg enthusiastically.
