As part of the Dakar Biennale, the collective and multidisciplinary exhibition “Piloha” brings together a range of artists, until December 7, to offer a unique look at the diversity of African creation. Supported by talents such as Ichola Nouroudine and Pascal Nampémanla Traoré, the exhibition at The Green Wall has established itself as a space for promotion, artistic dialogue and reflection on humanity.
Ichola Nouroudine, known for his mastery of textile materials, presented a series of paintings made from fabric. These works, rich in texture and symbolism, found a real showcase during this edition of Dak’art 2024. “The Biennale allows me to make my work known nationally and perhaps internationally”confided the artist, highlighting the impact of this event on the visibility of African artists.
This opportunity is also seized by Pascal Nampémanla Traoré, an Ivorian visual artist living in Dakar. The artist considers the biennial a valuable opportunity for artists. “the biennial is a very important moment in an artist’s party, these are moments where we can tell, we can show everything we have been doing for a certain time. »he explains. For him, this event goes beyond a simple exhibition: “It’s a privileged moment where we have the time to meet among artists first and to offer the rest of the world our look, our vision of humanity”.
