A first regular practice for Patrik Laine

A first regular practice for Patrik Laine

Patrik Laine, in the last few days, has started training again. Good news, then.

But today, for the first time, Laine was present at the Canadian’s regular training. He wore a sweater suggesting he was not allowed to receive contact.

It’s a big step towards a return to the game, therefore. And this, whether the return takes place in or Montreal.

It is not yet known whether Laine will really be able to return to the game in November, as has been suggested in recent weeks. But in any case, he is progressing well.

We can think that his return to the game is more and more imminent.

With him and Rafael Harvey-Pinard potentially making their debuts soon, it will put pressure on the rest of the club. After all, there will be positions at stake, by necessity. And that’s quite correct.

Note that Laine also skated before the others this morning. He skated for 30 minutes before the others and stayed for the first 20 minutes of the club’s regular practice.

Elsewhere in training, it should be noted that Brendan Gallagher was absent. He underwent treatment, as he has sometimes done for several years now.

It’s not abnormal. And a few days before the match against Vegas (Saturday), it is too early to draw conclusions.

With the veteran’s big start to the season, seeing him stay in the lineup is increasingly important. He is an important veteran in Montreal… and his start to the season (eight goals) reminds us of that.

To be continued, therefore.

– Hard blow.

– I like.

– This was to be expected.

– Hum…
