Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Türkiye ambassador to Tunisia, said he was working in accordance with the objectives of the “Century of Türkiye” put forward by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He welcomed the organization of numerous visits and events in Tunisia which make it possible to increase trade between the two countries.
In addition to Ahmet Misbah Demircan, Begum Aydinli, head of the Foreign Contracts and Consulting Department of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, Ilyas Demirci, president of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkish World, and a delegation consisting of more than 30 architects, engineers and businessmen operating in the construction sector participated, Monday in Tunis, in the International Building and Construction Fair.
The event gave rise to bilateral meetings between Turkish construction companies and Tunisian companies.
“We are working in accordance with the objectives set by our president for the century of Türkiye. They include in particular export objectives. It is for this reason that we, diplomats stationed abroad, are working to development of our exports in accordance with the objectives set by our president and to be present everywhere in the world”, declared the ambassador of Türkiye in Tunisia.
And continued: “In accordance with our objectives, we have organized numerous activities that will improve trade between Tunisia and Türkiye. As part of the trade activities, more than 30 members of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkish World came to Tunisia. We participated in the construction fair with a delegation including the representative of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce. Our objective is to prepare the ground for bilateral meetings with Tunisian companies in the infrastructure sector. until We were getting results.”

The president of the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkish World, Ilyas Demirci, for his part underlined the centuries-old nature of the friendship between Tunisia and Türkiye, specifying that the Turkish delegation was made up of 33 experts in their respective fields. .
“We want to develop the ties of old friendship between the two countries on the commercial and economic levels, and sign cooperation agreements which will leave lasting traces,” he said.
Specifying that a second meeting with Tunisian companies was planned in Ankara with an organization soon, Ilyas Demirci stressed that the objective of this event was to provide a basis for partnership between companies.
The Turkish delegation, which arrived in Tunisia to work in the construction sector, will make numerous visits and will participate in a business forum in which businessmen from the two countries will take part.
