Sales of the new Pixel tablet would be disappointing. This would result in no new models being released at this time.

This is what several Android news sites reveal. According to rumors, preparations for the next Pixel tablet have been suspended for the moment in order to ensure profitability. Whoever we talk to, we learn that all development of new tablets is postponed, or that there will simply be no Pixel Tablet 2, but a 3.

Last year, Google launched a new Pixel tablet. However, the device does not seem to have established itself on the tablet market, mainly dominated by Apple’s iPad.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t Android tablets on the market. OnePlus and Samsung, both also manufacturers of Android phones, have in fact released tablets supported by Google.

If Google gives up on creating its own tablets again, it would be the second time. In 2019, the company announced that it would no longer manufacture this type of equipment. In 2023, the technology giant nevertheless returned to the market with the first Google Pixel tablet. Tentatively, a second model only appeared in marketing photos for the wider Pixel 9 series.
