National movement to block and block roads on Monday, November 18, 2024. In the Paris region, part of the N118 is blocked.
The angry farmers kept their word: this Monday, November 18, 2024, a day of national mobilization called “Fires of Anger” begins, with road blockages and filter dams throughout Franceat the call of the National Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FNSEA) and Young Farmers. Almost a year after having demonstrated their fed up for many weeks by blocking the roads of France, the farmers are therefore giving up again in the face, they say, of the absence of acts from the executive following their demands.
For awareness
As a result, major difficulties are expected for road users this Monday on the impacted sections, throughout France. Particularly for Ile-de-France drivers, on the busy N118 where, since this morning, very early, farmers have taken up positions (around a hundred tractors) near Vélizy-Villacoublay, in the Yvelines department. The police are also on site, with an impressive deployment of vehicles. Movement on the N118 is expected until midday. And if Arnaud Rousseau, the president of the FNSEA, explained to the media that these filter blockages and other snail operations were not intended to “annoy” the French but to make them aware that agriculture is in a emergency situation, sometimes dramatic, traffic jams should indeed occur this Monday on the N118 and in many other corners of France…
