The project for electronic legalization of signatures is finally taking shape in Casablanca, precisely in the district of Maârif. No more long queues that put a strain on citizens’ patience: from now on, to legalize a signature or certified copies of documents, a simple click will be enough. A small miracle made possible by putting the platform online wraqi.ma.
This novelty is inaugurated at the Yacoub El Mansour administrative annex, in the urban district of Maârif in Casablanca. Much more than a simple service, the initiative is part of a global approach to simplifying administrative procedures, with the aim of generalizing this digital solution to all municipalities in the Kingdom.
«This solution is part of the national policy of Morocco Digital 2030, which aims to simplify administrative procedures for citizens. Thanks to this platform, our fellow citizens will be able to complete their formalities online, at any time and anywhere, whether in Morocco or abroad.», Explains Abdessadek Morchid, president of the Maârif district council.
The list of documents that can be legalized electronically is long and varied: domiciliation certificates, commitment documents, consensual divorce agreements, lease contracts, sales contracts, resignations, etc. Soon, even sworn declarations, declarations of loss and powers of attorney can be carried out online on the platform wraqi.ma.

Regarding the stages of the process, when you arrive at the electronic counter, you will be asked to present your national identity card. The legalization officer will then enter your details into the platform by scanning your ID to register your information in the system. Several options are offered to verify your identity: digitized handwritten signature, fingerprint or facial recognition.
A confirmation code is then sent to the email address or telephone number you provided. You will need to enter this code to activate your account and finalize your registration. And that’s it!
This new step in the digitalization of public services is a real breath of fresh air for citizens, often faced with busy schedules. It also represents a turning point in the relationship between Moroccan administrations and users, with a clear objective: efficiency, simplicity and modernity.
