Just ten minutes after the start of the match, blows were exchanged between supporters in one of the corners of the Stade de France during the match between the France and Israel team on Thursday November 14, reports Le Figaro.
Less than 20,000 supporters for a French stadium which can accommodate 80,000, the stands rang hollow this Thursday, November 14 for a France-Israel match under close surveillance and greatly scrutinized by politicians. On the pitch, the Blues did not shine, and in the stands, a few scuffles involving Israeli supporters took place.
Scuffles between supporters
The incidents took place just 10 minutes after the first whistle. A crowd movement involving several dozen people took place in one of the corners of the stadium where videos relayed on the networks show a group chasing an individual before hitting him several times once on the ground. According to Le Média, it was Israeli supporters who hit supporters of the French team after whistles sounded during the Israeli anthem.
Placed under high tension, the meeting between the two teams mobilized a significant number of law enforcement officers, 4,000 in all, in the stadium but also in the Paris metropolitan area. At the same time, a mobilization in support of Palestine organized, among others, by the Urgence Palestine collective, took place in Saint-Denis.
