The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is seeking to find a septuagenarian and an octogenarian from Rouyn-Noranda, in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, who have been missing since Monday.
Jacques Picard, 75 years old, and Joseph Renald Francoeur, 80 years old, were last seen around 7:30 a.m. near Montreal Street and they have not given any sign of life since, which increases the concern among their close ones.
“They left in a blue Ford F-150 van registered X44 XC4,” said the SQ, which specifies that their loved ones have reason to fear for their health and safety.
Joseph Renald Francoeur is 1.68 m (5 ft 6 in), weighs 64 kg (140 lb) and has blue eyes and white hair, while Mr. Picard is 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in), weighs 83 kg (160 lb) and has brown eyes and gray hair.
“The two individuals could be wearing hunting clothes and could be traveling on foot in forest areas of Rouyn-Noranda,” mentioned the provincial police in a press release.
Anyone who has information that could help locate these two people can contact 911 or call the SQ Criminal Information Center at 1 800 659-4264.
