Ousmane Sonko denounces the violence carried out against Pastef activists during this electoral campaign. The Pastef leader claims to have alerted the Minister of the Interior before the start of the campaign. He accuses Barthélemy Dias, head of the “Sam Sa Kaddu” list, that he is “declaring war » the rest of the campaign.
“I called the Minister of the Interior at the start of the campaign to report that Barthélémy Dias had purchased weapons, including grenades and shotguns, with the aim of attacking Pastef’s convoys. As head of the party list, I asked him to take preventive measures,” declared Ousmane Sonko.
He continues: “During the first attack, I again contacted the Minister of the Interior, as well as the Minister of Justice, as a candidate, so that they could take the necessary measures. But they didn’t do anything. We suffered three attacks without there being a single arrest. It is a failure of the State, which failed to guarantee the security of the Pastef party. »
The leader of Pastef accuses Barthélémy Dias of being the instigator of this violence and calls on his activists to stop letting this happen.
