From the 1960s to the galaxy of the 1970s, the vintage spirit is in the spotlight and on the wrist

Singular. Ready to catch the eye and sparkle in style: one of the new PRX 40 mm, whose embossed and gradient dial takes on a galactic appearance. Steel, sapphire crystal, interchangeable integrated bracelet, 80-hour power reserve, 775 euros. ©Tissot

To adorn feminine wrists with mother-of-pearl or a Barbie pink brushed dial, the PRX 35 mm rely on the ease of a long-lasting quartz movement, with EOL end-of-battery-life indicator. All of the PRX 40 mm (as well as a PRX 35 mm mint dial) are powered by an automatic caliber with a comfortable power reserve of 80 hours. The aptly named Powermatic 80 owes its performance to an essential component: the Nivachron hairspring balance, which reduces interference from magnetic fields and resists shock, aging and temperature changes. Tissot also embeds this watchmaking engine on board a watch that cannot, therefore, be considered a gadget: the PRX Grendizer. For the record, the ancestor of the PRX and the famous space robot both appeared at the end of the 1970s. Seeing them brought together in a special edition will delight historical fans and new fans of Japanese manga. The vintage design gives pride of place to homage details: the dial is dressed in Goldorak blue, the bust of the hero of the galaxy is illuminated with a yellow Super-Luminova, the seconds hand evokes his “asteroaxe” and, on the back, the oscillating weight is engraved with his image.

Enora Antoine: jewelry full of meaning

In addition to this very special watch, another novelty allows you to stock up on nostalgia: the Stylist. Born in 1965, she embodied the desire for freedom of the youth of the time. In 2024, its allure and charm will return to the forefront to give time to fans of vintage aesthetics. True to its roots, the Stylist features a cushion-shaped steel case whose delicate silhouette evokes the grace of a bygone past. Light and thin, the new versions, barely 7 mm thick, have the advantage of slipping easily under the cuff of a shirt. Their youthful energy is tinged with a modernity shared between the depth of a midnight blue gradient dial and the luminous radiance of a silver dial with a sunburst finish. Cornelian choice…

Minimalist The softness of a refined aesthetic from the 1960s: the Tissot Stylist, perfectly vintage and practical for everyday wear. 32 mm, steel, sapphire crystal, silver sunray dial, long-lasting Swiss quartz, 275 euros.
